Stormclouds are gathering over Sinn Féin’s election hopes presently as yet an internal scandal bleeds onto the national airwaves.

Political pandemonium erupted Tuesday afternoon when it was revealed that former party senator Niall Ó Donnghaile had resigned from the party following allegations he had send unethical texts to an underage teen boy

Originally writing his departure from the party on the grounds of help it was divulged that the disgraced ex-seanadóir is also being sought after by the PSNI as questions abound regarding Sinn Féin’s internal disciplinary policies.

While the details of Ó Donnghaile’s fall from grace are to be seen one thing for certain is the former Shinner politico’s avowedly left-wing online credentials in particular when challenging those questioning mass immigration.

Let’s take a gander,

The latest scandal within PSF since discord first emerged among the party’s press officer cadre in Belfast last month all expectations point to a below-par performance by the party which in 2020 was poised to darken the halls of government.

Hardly the first left-wing politico to fall foul of such allegations readers may remember Owen Hanley’s fall from grace or the hullabaloo over Roderic O’Gorman’s liaisons with alleged pedophile apologist Peter Tatchell.

A potential feature rather than a bug within Ireland’s tight-knit left-wing, scene one wonders who could be the next political domino to fall as dirty laundry begins to be aired.

Are those pouring slime over Irish patriots for opposing what is happening to our country really as clean as they portray themselves to be?
